  • Oversee church staff of full and part-time workers.
  • Started a contemporary worship service on Sunday mornings at 8:30 AM which led to numerical and spiritual growth.
  • Started and taught a Young Adults Sunday School class that grew up to thirty people.
  • Started Wednesday night supper and Bible study that caused Wednesday night attendance to triple in size.
  • Recognized by the Barnwell Bamberg Baptist Association in October 2006 for significant increase in baptisms and weekly Sunday School attendance.

Dr. David Emerson Richardson as the Senior Pastor of First Baptist Church Sebring at a special called business meeting after the evening service on September 13, 2009. The personnel committee will present a motion for his call and compensation package for the church's consideration.

Dinner on the Grounds

Dinner on the Grounds will be Sunday August 30th. There will be a combined service at 8:30, Sunday school at 9:45. After Sunday School we will go to the ROC for Dinner on the Grounds. Each family is asked to bring enought food for your family and a few more. Meat/veg/salad/dessert. The food will be on tables for anyone to enjoy. We hope to see you there .

Women's Ministry Ladies Movie Night

Women's Ministry would like to invite all the ladies to a special movie night June 16. Please bring a dessert or finger food to share. We will begin at 6:00 p.m. in the Fellowship Hall. (I cannot remember the movie title- but come anyway for the fellowship!)

Esther: It's Tough Being A Woman

This summer, Women's Ministry will host a ladies Bible study by Beth Moore called Esther: It's Tough Being a Women. More information about the Bible study can be found on the Lifeway website. An RSVP is needed by June 10 to order books ($15). It will be held each Thursday night beginning June 25 until August 13, skipping VBS week. Rebekah Kogelschatz will be the facilitator.

Hombuilders


We will begin our Contemporary Service on Sunday May 31st. We will be starting a new Coffee Break time to encourage guests to come by and get them plugged into Sunday School. We are asking the Homebuilders Department to provide donuts/pastries for the first two weeks and are looking for 4 volunteers a week. Let Becky or Tamra know if ou can help.

Easter Egg Hunt Details

We will meet at the Abels' home August 11 at 3:00 for an Easter egg hunt.

Please bring:

  • meat for your family plus buns if needed (Cliff will be ready with the grill)
  • a side dish or dessert to share
  • one dozen plastic eggs for each child (filled or not)
  • a bag or basket for your child to gather eggs
