We had our second Upward meeting tonight and will continue to meet on Mondays @ 6:30 PM @ the ROC. Winfred and Sandra White have agreed to be our Prayer Commissioners and we have decided to have a float in the Christmas Parade. We are also going to use the night of the parade as a community outreach event and a sign-up night for Upward. I know in the past different Sunday School departments have used the parade as opportunities to gather and eat with their families. We want to take it one step further and open up the ROC to the community that night. If you have any thoughts/ideas let me know. Continue to pray and enlist volunteers for this ministry. The sign-up forms are in and are being distributed at every opportunity. I believe the most effective way of reaching families will be face to face so stop by the office and get a handful of forms to distribute throughout your day. We are in need of coaches and refs so continue to pray for these positions. Thank you for your prayers and commitment, Robert

It's hard to believe that it is that time of year again. We are quickly approaching January which marks the beginning of our Upward season. Last year we had 122 children participate and personally it was one of the most humbling and gratifying experiences of my life. For those who participated last year I am sure that you would agree. Right now I would like for you to begin praying about your role in this year's season. Pray specifically that God will be glorified through this ministry and that you will be obedient to his direction. Maybe it is coaching or refereeing. Maybe it is sponsoring children that need to be loved. Maybe it is praying for the participants and volunteers. Whatever it may be I encourage you to step out on faith and I promise you that you will be blessed. We will be having a meeting on October 13th @ 6:30 p.m. In the ROC @ FBC Sebring. Please prayerfully consider your commitment to this ministry and I hope to see you Monday night. Robert O'Hern the5oherns at yahoo dot com

We will be having a Family Harvest Celebration on Nov. 8 from 11:00 to 2:00 at the ROC. This is a community event and all are welcome.
We need volunteers to set up and man games, serve food, register those that attend, decorate, and clean up. If you are willing, please contact Kimberlee Dion or Rebekah Kogelschatz for more details.
If you can help create decorations beforehand, that would be terrific too! We will be setting up the ROC on Friday, Nov. 7.
We are hoping to get the entire church involved in this event!
Candy donations will be appreciated.
Please invite friends and family. Invitations and flyers will be available soon.
Watch for more information to come!

Moms Together is a group for moms, step moms, grandmothers, in all ages and stages, and anyone interested in joining a wonderful group of women in fellowship and Bible study. Moms Together is the 1st and 3rd Thursday nights, following the public school calendar.
Each meeting we alternate between Bible study and special activities and events. We do have a light meal for the moms and child care available for children.
There is a $3 fee per meeting to help with the costs of supplies for the fun activities.
Anyone is welcome, you do not have to be a member of our church or have a child in our preschool. We would love to have you!

We've been blessed with a great turn out for Wednesday night - the Jesus the One and Only class. So much that we need to split a group - this means we need more helpers. You will not have to be the preparer, or talker, or teacher - unless you want too! We need extra hands to help with activities, provide attention to the kids, even greet the parents at pick up time. This starts at 6:15PM each Wednesday - we typically are setting up from about 5:40 PM to 6:10 PM. This ends at 7:15 PM. If you can only spare a bit of time - I need a departure desk greeter from about 7:00 - 7:20ish. You talk to parents as they arrive to get their kids, invite them to church activities, give handouts to kids as they leave, etc. Contact Lisa Collins if you can help or show up this Wednesday!

Hey Ladies,
I would like to do a clothing/accessory exchange this coming Saturday, at my home, at 2:00 pm. It will last between 1 1/2 to 2 hours, but you should come close to 2 so that all the clothes are here when we everyone gets here.
This is the way it works:
You bring any clean, in good condition, unstained woman's clothing, shoes, purses, and accessories you are ready to be rid of, on a hanger if you can. Bring all sizes.
For each item you bring, you get to take home one item.
It works best with lots of different sizes, so hopefully everyone can find something new.
Accessories work too- jewelry, purses, shoes, belts....
You can try on clothes to make sure you like them.
Any items left over will be donated or you can take them back home.
I would like to have at least 7 people participate, with similar sizes or at least 2 people in similar sizes, so if you would like to participate, please RSVP to me by Thursday with the size of clothes you would be bringing or the types of accessories you are bringing.
The bonus of this is we are recycling clothes and saving money!
Little children would be welcome, but since we are changing clothes, older ones would be hard to manage. I do have a backyard if you need them to come, just let me know.
Hope you can make it! Please invite your friends!
